Valuing Landscapes in the Lakes

Natural England is supporting a Cumbria University student’s MSc research project in the Lake District National Park, which is looking a people’s perceptions of and preferences for changes in landscape character and landscape features that are of cultural value.

The research is also using Participatory GIS (developed by NE) as part of its methodology to capture what the public value.

Natural England are asking that people take this survey to help with research into the cultural value held in some of the Lake District landscapes by giving their opinions and mapping their valued places.
