Do you have a burning query about employee matters? Need a legal perspective on land disputes? Or have questions on managing members’ issues? Bates Wells (Affiliate Member, and the Heritage Alliance’s official legal partner) is offering free 30-minute legal calls to all Alliance members to help answer questions and support organisations with a range of legal queries.

Philanthropy Company

Free Fundraising Advice

To support the heritage sector, Philanthropy Company (Affiliate Member) is offering free ‘check in’ phone consultations for Alliance Members. During a ‘check in’ call, members will be able to share fundraising plans and concerns, and in return receive information from fundraising experts.

Free consultation on immersive technologies

The technology specialists Arcade (Affiliate Member), are offering free consultations on immersive technologies (including AR and VR) for all Alliance members.

Ecclesiastical Insurance – Free Risk Advice Line

As your organisation grows or takes on new ventures, new risks may emerge. As a Heritage Alliance Member you can benefit from free access to the Ecclesiastical Risk Advice Line, which offers support over the phone to help you these risks.

Ecclesiastical Insurance’s in-house specialists are able to give advice on a variety of topics supported by expert external partners, to ensure the advice you receive is always of the highest standard.  For specific risk advice about health and safety, fire and security, construction safety, food safety, occupational health, environmental management, water safety, asbestos, property protection and business continuity planning.

Circle Heritage Division

Circle Insurance – Helpline

As an additional benefit to Alliance members, Circle Insurance Services (Affiliate Member) now provide a free, confidential helpline service. This exclusive offering can assist you with any insurance or risk management issue, no matter how simple or complex. Circle Insurance Services have been a member of Heritage Alliance since 2021 and in that time Circle’s experience and insight, from working with attractions large and small, across the UK has been beneficial to the Heritage Alliance and its members alike.  

Impartial and independent advice can be obtained over the phone or by email. Upon contacting the Helpline, your enquiry will be supported by an experienced insurance professional at Circle, who shall help to guide you. 

One of the Heritage Alliance’s members stated, “Your referral to Rob at Circle Insurance has saved us £3,000; a 50% reduction in our premium. I think smaller THA members would benefit from a review if Rob’s scheme was flagged up for them.” (Roger Lee, Director, Bedern Hall)

Free Geospatial Storytelling Workshop from Heritage Alliance members

Are you looking for an easy way to maximise your impact online? The interactive map platform Humap (Affiliate Member) is offering  Alliance members a free geospatial storytelling workshop that will help you to bring your records and content to life.

Geospatial storytelling is the historic art of using maps to create compelling narratives. Humap’s clients use their platform to transform their collections, data, archives, and materials library into multimedia records, collections, trails, routes, timelines, and overlays – all pinned to a fully interactive map that brings their content to life like never before.

In Humap’s storytelling workshop, they’ll take a look at your organisation and learn about your content and your goals. Then they’ll discuss how you could use interactive mapping to optimise your digital strategy and breathe new life into your collections and/or data.  But that’s not all – if your organisation signs up to Humap’s platform within six months of your workshop, Humap will throw in a free month of membership! Free Remote Discovery Document – Utility Aid

Utility Aid (Affiliate Member) is the UK’s largest energy broker for the not-for-profit sector, and we’re delighted to be working with them to offer Alliance members access to their expertise. Their dedicated team provide a high-level service to manage and maintain your portfolio, covering procurement, Bureau services, full account management, historical audits and carbon reporting and net zero planning. To date, Utility Aid has retrieved over £6 million for the third sector through their invoice validation services.

Evaluation and Measuring Your Success – CFP Landscape & Heritage

CFP Landscape & Heritage have over 20 years’ experience of the sector and the team have worked on over 100 evaluation projects. They have run Heritage Fund evaluation training programmes on a national level and the team includes two NLHF RoSS consultants.
