(Closing Date Updated) The Church Commissioners’ mission is to support the Church of England’s ministry, particularly in areas of need and opportunity. As part of their responsibilities, the Commissioners have a quasi-judicial role in relation to the Mission and Pastoral Measure 2011. The vacancy is for a lay person nominated by the Department for Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS). Criteria includes but is not limited to some understanding of the Church of England’s mission and role and knowledge of diocesan and parish structures and a strong desire to help the Church to organise local worship, mission and ministry in the most effective way in the 21st century.
