Supporting Leadership – Call for participants

Editor News

Participants are currently being sought to take part in an online survey for Supporting Leadership, a new research and knowledge exchange project, led by staff at Oxford University’s Gardens, Libraries and Museums, aiming at gathering information about the role of executive and administrative assistants in the cultural sector.
Executive assistants play a key role in supporting cultural sector leadership, they are highly valued as individuals but as a collective can be overlooked and are underrepresented in broader sectoral research, resources and initiatives. The Supporting Leadership project is seeking to better understand administrative support roles, to define best practice, and to look at possibilities for providing resources, support and professional development opportunities for this staff group.
The project team are using a digital consultation to gather information from across the sector and are currently inviting contributions from leaders and administrative support staff from institutions of all sizes and remits – from galleries, libraries and museums to theatre, performing arts, gardens, heritage sites and charities.
