A project to create Blackpool’s first museum has been awarded a £4 million grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund [Alliance Member] as part of a wider £10 million package of grants to heritage-lead regeneration across the North of England.

The Blackpool Museum will combine the best of cultural heritage and seaside visitor attractions, telling the story of the town is a singular and immersive fashion. It is being delivered by a partnership including DCMS, The V&A and Blackpool Council.
