Join the External Affairs team at the National Trust and play a key advocacy role in communicating to a range of audiences for up to 22.5 hours a week for up to 6 months.

You will help to deliver our external influencing agenda by focusing on specific projects and campaigns and undertaking innovative research, monitoring and advising on the external policy landscape, and writing content for the External Affairs own social media channels as well as internal comms to our staff and volunteers. You’ll coordinate and organise site visits with key guests such as government ministers and MPs, and will lead on the associated comms to encourage deeper understanding and engagement with our strategic ambitions. You’ll also help support campaigns led by our coalition partners, such as the Climate Coalition’s Show the Love campaign, and will project manage key areas of our involvement in those campaigns.

Out-of-pocket travel costs between home and volunteering place will be paid, as will a lunch allowance for working days. Other reasonable expenses can be agreed in advance.
