Latest figures on the number visits to museums and galleries sponsored by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in April 2017 have been published.
In April 2017, there were a total of 4.6 million visits to the DCMS-sponsored museums and galleries. This is an increase of 17.7%(6 compared with April 2016.
