An exciting opportunity to join the Heritage Alliance – the voice for England’s independent heritage sector! 🏛️

The Heritage Alliance is seeking an experienced and talented Membership and Event Coordinator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive membership growth strategies, plan and deliver a vibrant calendar of events, and engage with our network of heritage specialists and organisations. No prior heritage experience required – we welcome dynamic professionals eager to apply their skills in membership, events, marketing, and strategy within an inspiring sector. 

In this pivotal role, you’ll:

✨ Provide exceptional service to our 200+ members, ranging from iconic sites to specialist charities

✨ Spearhead membership recruitment & retention with innovative strategies

✨ Coordinate our renowned sector events like Heritage Day & Heritage Debate

✨ Develop a new Events Strategy to expand our popular programming

✨ Manage event logistics, sponsorships, and our volunteer awards scheme

Key Details

  • Fixed Term: 0.8 FTE (28 hours per week) until March 2025. Possibility for the role to become full-time and to be extended if further funding is unlocked.
  • Start Date: As soon as possible.
  • Salary: £31,000 FTE per annum, pro-rata
  • Leave: 24 days FTE per annum pro-rata, in addition the Heritage Alliance Office closes between Christmas and New Year.
  • Line Manager: Head of Development and Membership (HDM)
  • Place of Work: The Heritage Alliance Office, Central London, EC4M (Flexible working arrangements can be considered)
