Heritage 2020: summary of responses to 2016 consultation

Editor News

At the end of 2016, Heritage 2020 ran a consultation to raise awareness of the Heritage 2020 initiative (a mechanism to bring organisations together to add value to their individual work by working together), gain input on the initial priorities for action, and involve more people in Heritage 2020.

Many good ideas and shared concerns were put forward and the responses have now been summarized under the five Heritage 2020 themes. The exercise also highlighted the need for more, and better, communication about the Heritage 2020 initiative itself. Heritage Update will remain a core channel for news but stories, events and the related activities of other organisations are also shared through Twitter (@Heritage2020) and you can sign up for news from Heritage 2020. We’re re-thinking our approach to seeking the views and contributions from the sector for autumn 2017, but in the meantime please contact the Project Officer, Caroline Peach, if your organisation would like to receive news from Heritage 2020 (heritage2020@theheritagealliance.org.uk).
