The Heritage Alliance is delighted to welcome our newest members Civic Voice and ALGAO.
Civic Voice is the national charity for the civic movement in England and they have a strong local presence. They are striving to make places more attractive, enjoyable and distinctive and to promote civic pride. They are active on the national, city and local stage, working in partnership across the UK.
ALGAO UK is the national body representing local government archaeology services. A UK wide body, they have specific groups for England, Scotland and Wales. These provide advice to nearly all Local Planning Authorities in the country. ALGAO co-ordinates the views of its members and presents them to government and to other national organisations, providing the major voice of local authorities on archaeological and other matters.
