Save Our Parsonages – Director and Treasurer

September 14, 2019

Save Our Parsonages (SOP) has been campaigning for 25 years to support the view that retaining a parsonage at the centre of the community is a potent symbol of the presence of the Church, as well as a practical resource for local activity.  SOP responds to requests for help and advice from parishes across the country whenever they are threatened with disposal of their parsonage by the diocese.

SOP now needs a new Director and a new Treasurer.

The Director is responsible for direction and strategy.  We need a person with confidence to deal with church hierarchy, a deep conviction that threatened parsonages should be saved wherever possible, and competence in electronic communication, etc.

The Treasurer monitors receipts from the membership secretary,  deals with expenditures and prepares the annual accounts for the AGM.

The roles are voluntary and unpaid, though the director receives an honorarium.

More information about SOP is on its website, or by email as below.

Applications by post or email to our Director, Anthony Jennings, at Flat Z, 12-18 Bloomsbury St, London WC1B 3QA,    email: ajsjennings@hotmail.co.uk

The closing date for applications is 1 October 2019.
