Canal and River Trust- Enterprise Manager

August 19, 2019

£40,100 inclusive of car cash allowance

Gloucester

The Canal & River Trust believe that life is better by water. Set up in 2012 to care for historic waterways across England and Wales, the organisation aims to transform our canals and rivers into spaces where local people can spend time and feel better. Now you can be part of turning that vision into reality. How? By identifying sources of funding for priority projects in their Wales & South West. By generating resources for a wide range of activities. And by supporting their objective to become the charity for waterways and wellbeing.

About the role:

You will work creatively with colleagues across the region, to shape and deliver funding for a wide range of projects that will enable the organisation to meet our strategic objectives. These projects will encompass everything from learning, participation and engagement activities to works designed to improve visitor destinations and waterway infrastructure. As well as generating the required resources through strategic partnerships, you will be expected to manage the financial aspects of the projects themselves and to take responsibility for output, outcome and impact reporting.

About you:

This role calls for a broad range of experience that should include elements of project management, strategic partnership development and the writing of successful funding bids. Much of your time will be spent building relationships with funders and partners or promoting the trust’s work to key external stakeholders such as lottery distributors, regional agencies and Government departments, so it’s important that you are a great communicator with strong influencing, presentation and negotiation skills. You also need a track record of developing projects from concept to delivery along with some knowledge of funding environments and managing financial risk.

To apply:

We aim to represent the diverse communities we are part of and welcome applicants from across all sectors of the community. We strongly believe that a diverse workforce brings with it a diversity of ideas, thinking and ways of working which enhances what we do.
