Alliance & HLF’s Effective Fundraising seminar: book now

The Heritage Lottery Fund and The Heritage Alliance invite you to attend Effective Fundraising, a free fundraising skills seminar that will take place on 12 October at the National Railway Museum in York.

This event, for the first time held in partnership with HLF, forms part of the Alliance’s Funding Advocacy Group’s strategy to help heritage bodies access finance in an ever more challenging climate and complements the free online funding directory available here.

Topics to be covered at this practical seminar include ‘What do funders want to see in funding applications?’, ‘What makes a good HLF application?’ and ‘What advice and guidance is out there?’ Chief Executive of The Architectural Heritage Fund and Deputy Chair of The Heritage Alliance Ian Lush, and Head of HLF Yorkshire and Humber Fiona Spiers, will chair the day’s events. Speakers will include Yorkshire and Humber Regional Manager at the BIG Lottery Fund and Yorkshire Funders’ Forum’s Caroline James, and Funding Adviser from York CVS and North Yorkshire Funding Advice Network, Melody Clarke.

The event will run from 1.45pm to 5.00pm. For the full programme click here and to download a booking form click here

Booking forms and any booking enquiries should be submitted by email to y&hdevelopment@hlf.org.uk  by 7 October.
